Does the injured party have any legal grounds to recover for damages stemming from his or her injury against the driver of the semi-truck? The short answer is, very likely, yes.

Depending on the outcome of the California Highway Patrol’s investigation the injured person may have a legal basis for filing a lawsuit for wrongful injuries sustained as the result of the semi-truck driver’s errant ways. In a wrongful injury lawsuit the injured parties file an action, a lawsuit, to recover damages associated with their injuries, their medical treatment and related claims.
