Likely, yes. In a wrongful death lawsuit the deceased parties heirs sue to recover damages related to the loss of their family member. In a wrongful injury lawsuit the injured parties file suit to recover damages stemming from their injuries. Recoverable damages include, but are not limited to, compensation for lost property, injuries, pain and suffering and associated emotional suffering.
